You are guest in our holiday appertement and want to try pottery on the wheel? In the peaceful atmosphere of my garden studio, just a few steps away from the holiday flat, I offer the following options:

Pottery taster session

In 2.5 hours, you can try the potter's wheel. We will throw small bowls and cups together, giving you an initial idea of how the wheel works and whether this craft is something you might want to explore further. You will make around 3-5 pieces, which I will finish (trim and glaze) and send to your home around 6 weeks after the course.

Cost of this session: 180 € for 1 person. Each additional person +€50 (230/2 people, 280/3 people)

Materials and firing for up to 6 pieces (max 5kg)  is included, shipping costs within EU is included, shipping cost UK +10 Euro handling fee.

Workshop

Over two days, each lasting three hours, we will go through the classic programme.
On the first day, we will throw pieces together on the potter's wheel.
I will show you the individual steps from centring and breaking up the clay to pulling it up, and help you to make around 3-6 pieces.
On the following day, you will trim the pieces yourself. I will give you an introduction to trimming, and in the following hours, the blanks from the previous day will be turned into their final shapes. With or without a foot ring, smooth or rough walls, with or without a handle. Everything can be decided and implemented on this second day. 
As the pieces then have to dry for a few days before they can be fired, I will glaze them for you and send them to you after about 6 weeks. 

All materials and firing is included (up to 6 pieces or 5kg clay), shipping is included within EU

Cost: €360/1 person, €460/2 people, €560/3 people.

Individual pottery lessons:

Would you like a course tailored to your individual needs, both in terms of content and number of hours? No problem. Whether you want extra sessions on centring, an excursion into the various techniques of handle making, a focus on large-scale throwing, vases or a specific theme such as a tableware set – all this is possible by arrangement.

We will put together the course according to your wishes.

Costs: €60/hour for 1 person, €75/hour for 2 people, €90/hour for 3 people.

The material for 6 fired pieces or 5kg of fired clay (whichever comes first) is included. Each additional kg is charged at £20/kg. Shipping of the pieces is not included.
