5 days wheelcourse. PotteRelax, the pottery holiday. In an idyllic setting in the heart of Brittany, far from the noise of the streets, we immerse ourselves in the world of pottery for 5 days. Days 1-4 are with an 1-hour lunch break. Day 1: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. The introduction. We'll learn how to properly prepare our clay and our workplace. We throw our first cups and bowls and immerse ourselves in the world of clay. Day 2: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m it`s about throwing. Depending on your preference, we slowly venture into larger shapes. A small breakfast set, bowls or perhaps a vase. We continue to work on the technic. Day 3. 10 a.m. - 4 p.m Like day 2 Day 4: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m Today we are trimming the pieces from the first few days, decorating them, attaching handles, working with engobes and sgraffito. Day 5: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m I would like to introduce you to the world of glazing. Since your pieces have to dry for about 10 days before they can be fired, you will receive two pieces that I have thrown and have already fired (mug, cup or bowl) and you glaze them in your desired color. There are various Sia Noire glazes to choose from, which are applied using different techniques. Your pieces (6 are included in the price, others will be charged at 12 euros/kg). I will glaze and fire them for you about 10-14 days later and send them to you for a postage fee. Optional: If you come from the region or have enough time , you are welcome to glaze your pieces yourself about 10 days after the last day of the course and take them with you for 48 hours. Course duration: a total of 22 hours over 5 days. Price 690 euros including materials, fires (6 self-made pieces, plus 2 provided by me, others for an additional charge), lunch, drinks. Who is the workshop suitable for? The workshop is aimed at anyone who has always wanted to try out the material clay. I accompany beginners through their first steps at the wheel and we create their first works for your home. But even if you've made pottery before, I'd be happy to teach you new techniques to center it more easily and throw it higher. Where does this all take place?
